Ranger and his brothers and sisters were born outside. They were cold and hungry, even though their mother, a stray, did her best to care for them. Back then, he didn't know his name was Ranger. He was just a puppy.
Then the Farm Lady came. She made sure he had food in his belly and a warm place to sleep--and she gave him his name. He like the Farm Lady.
But Ranger isn't so sure about the other dogs on the farm. They're new to him-- and new experiences scare him.
Can Ranger overcome his fear and learn that new and different doesn't always mean bad and dangerous?
